Notice: Dawn Office Fixer Sinclair Additional Positive Adjustments

Balance

Hello. This is Kim Jihoon, director at Project Moon.
I apologize for causing you disappointment with our new Identity, which many of you have been looking forward to.

We plan to introduce additional buffs to the character.
Please refer to the information below.
Because the following changes require a Client build and a platform review, they will be applied with the May 9th Scheduled Update.

Adjustments

1) Dawn Office Fixer Sinclair: SP Consumption value for ‘Unstable Shell of Ego’ Passive will be adjusted.

[Before]

Turn Start: at 45 SP, consume 35 SP to enter the Volatile E.G.O::Waxen Pinion state.
Or if 2+ allies are defeated in a single turn, and if this unit’s SP isn’t at -45 at Turn End, reset SP to 10;
then, enter the Volatile E.G.O::Waxen Pinion state

[After]

Turn Start: at 40+ SP, consume 20 SP to enter the Volatile E.G.O::Waxen Pinion state.

Or if 2+ allies are defeated in a single turn, and if this unit’s SP isn’t at -45 at Turn End, reset SP to 20;
then, enter the Volatile E.G.O::Waxen Pinion state.

If both conditions are met at the same time, whichever condition that results in a higher SP goes into effect.

2) Dawn Office Fixer Sinclair: ‘Stigma Workshop Weaponry/Passion’ Passive activation condition will be adjusted.

[Before]

3x Wrath Res.

[After]

5x Wrath Owned

The above changes cannot be applied with a hotfix; it must go through a Client build & review, which takes a week to process. We initially attempted to make it so that SP ‘resets’ to 20 at 40+ SP instead of dropping to 10 at 45, but that particular change could not be done via a hotfix, and had to go through a Client build; so that function could not be implemented immediately.

Because a client build is necessary to make adjustments to that function anyway, we intend to change the internal mechanics so that instead of SP getting ‘reset’ to 20, it will instead ‘consume’ 20 SP.

It was my fault that this balancing issue with Dawn Office Fixer Sinclair happened; I, as the director, neglected to set enough testing time in our schedule for the new Identity.

Because of the scheduling issue of the simultaneous Walpurgis Night & Mirror Dungeon release, we could not sufficiently review the character design, and our testing had to be done only under limited conditions due to time constraints. This led to the character being useful only under a very particular set of teams, which meant that in any other setting, it was difficult to enjoy playing this character.

I will try my best to set enough testing time in our scheduling for various different setups and circumstances in the future.

I will also make sure that we will design characters that can not only shine in particular team setups, but also be useful in general team setups.

However, the numerous teambuilding possibilities with each character’s unique Skills and Passives working together are also intended to be an important part of our game’s enjoyment. Please understand that we will have to remain conservative regarding buffs and nerfs for upcoming Identities and E.G.Os.

I sincerely apologize for causing disappointment and loss of faith due to these frequent adjustments to an Identity that has already been released.

I will try my best to prepare and plan so that no similar issue will occur again in the future.
