Guide on Season 5: Oblivion
Greetings, dear Manager.
Season 5: Oblivion will commence on Oct. 10th, 2024, at 12:00 PM (KST).
This notice will provide information on Season 5 and its new or adjusted systems.
Please note that the contents shown above are subject to change.
We will notify you again as each update is deployed.

1. Season 4 Egoshard Carryover
Guide on Season Changes - Egoshards
- When a new Season begins, half of the previous Season’s Egoshards will be carried over (and rounded up).
- The carryover rates for unconverted Egoshards from multiple seasons past will be halved for each following Season.
- The remaining Egoshards are converted into Thread.
- Egoshard Crates (both random and nominable) will be carried over in the same way.
As per the information above, half of the currencies listed below will be converted to Season 5’s.
- Season 4 [Sinner]’s Egoshards
- Season 4 Uptie & Threadspinning only Shards (Universal)
- Season 4 Egoshard Crate
- Season 4 Nominable Egoshard Crate
The carryover of currencies to Season 5 will automatically occur the first time you log into the game during Season 5.
A popup will show how much previous Season’s Egoshard relevant currency you owned, and how they have been converted.
※ Previous Season’s Identity Egoshard currencies that are still in the Mailbox or in the Lost & Found will be carried over when they are claimed. Carryover to Season 5 currency will occur as soon as they are claimed, and currencies that were not carried over will be converted to Thread-related currencies.
2. Gradual Main Story & Battle Pass Updates
Chapter 7 of the main story and the Season 5 Pass will be updated in 3 parts.

Accumulated Pass Levels are continuously tracked regardless of the gradual updates.
When the subsequent updates unlock the rewards for higher Pass Levels, you can immediately claim them up to your accumulated Pass Level.
Max Pass Level rewards earned for leveling up the Pass past the max Pass Level are also kept track of even when they aren’t unlocked, and you can claim the accumulated Season 5 Nominable Egoshard Crates immediately once they are made available.
Chapter 7 stage progression rewards and Max Pass Level rewards will become available to claim with the October 24th update, when 《Part 3》 of this chapter is added.

4. Identity Level Cap Increase & Luxcavations

If you have cleared the Main Story Chapter 6, the max level of Identities will be increased from 45 to 50 with the Season 5 Update.

<Reduced the Required Level-up EXP Growth Curve>
For Levels between 45 and 50, the rate at which level-up EXP requirements grow has been reduced compared to previous levels.
Considering our Identity release schedule and Identities that must be leveled up, we determined that growing their potential will be exponentially difficult the further we expand the Levels.
We would like to adjust the level-up EXP curve as follows past Level 45.
- Required EXP to level up between Level 45~50 will be lower than in the previous level.
- The required EXP for level up will not grow between Level 45~50.
However, when the level cap unlocks further with future Season updates, the new levels in the expanded cap will require increased EXP. Therefore, with future Season Updates, the required EXP for leveling up will continue to increase. However, it will be much less steep compared to the previous EXP curve.
<EXP Luxcavation #4~#6 Rewards Buffed>
Rewards for EXP Luxcavation #4~#6 will be buffed.
With the expansion of the level cap, we wanted to reduce the difficulty of leveling up your Identities.
So, we intend to expand the rewards for EXP Luxcavation #4~#6, as the levels that make use of those Luxcavations require much more EXP than the previous levels.

Starting from EXP Luxcavation #7, Slash, Pierce, and Blunt Stages will be introduced. They each open on the following days:
- Slash: MON, TUE, SUN
- Pierce: WED, THU, SUN
- Blunt: FRI, SAT, SUN
Each Attack Type Stage has first-time clear rewards, and clearing each Attack Type unlocks the Encounter Skip option for the said Attack Type Stage. For example, clearing Luxcavation #7 [Slash] will unlock the Skip function only for Luxcavation #7 [Slash] and not [Pierce] or [Blunt].

- The new Season’s Identities and E.G.O will be added to the list of Extractable items.
- Identities & E.G.O from previous Seasons remain in the pool and are obtainable via Extractions.
- However, Event Identities and E.G.O cannot be obtained.
- (Added with the 2024/07/11 (KST) Scheduled Update) In Target Extractions, however, Event Identities & E.G.O from previous Seasons(excluding ones from the immediately preceding Season) are added to list of Extractable Identities & E.G.O, and in the Yisang Exchange list.

8. Mirror Dungeon #5 Preview
Mirror Dungeon #5 will be added during Season 5.
With the Mirror Dungeon #5 Update, the preexisting Mirror Dungeon #4 [Mirror of the Wuthering] will be closed.
※ Please note that Starlight accumulated from Mirror Dungeon #4 [Mirror of the Wuthering] will be reset once Mirror Dungeon #5 updates.
